After much thought and consideration since most of the reviews about Copa Cabana on Trip Advisor were negative, we decided to chance it. And since Labor Day weekend weather is never predictable we decided to stay at Copa Cabana. 2 Families, with 6 kids ages 5, 7, 2-12yr old boys, and 2-13yrs old girls, especially since they offered free tickets to Mt. Olympus. Copa was totally accomodating. Room 956 was perfect for the 10 of us.
Everyone at the front desk were so friendly, and really went out of their way to make sure everything up to our expectations. Our room was clean, and not outdated like the other reviews mentioned. Sheets were a little thin, but for 2 nights was fine. Definitely would go back.

We during February and the place was perfect. It by far was not a luxury hotel but for the price it had a lot. Staff were nice. They have rooms in the main hotel and the outer. The main seemed a little bigger, but they were the perfect size for 4 of us, 2 adults and 6 month old and 2 year old. The water park was perfect for our 2 year old. She loved it. It also was not crowded by any means so we really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms could use some updating, but didn’t effect our stay. Overall a great value in the off season.

After reading the previous reviews I was skeptical about staying here. I thought we would give it a chance as the room came with Mount Olympus tickets and two Tommy Bartlett water show tickets. The perks were worth more than I paid for the room!
It was just for one night and we only needed to sleep there. We were pleasantly surprised – a clean, comfy large room with a balcony. The pool area had a huge pool for swimming, a hot tub and a small water park for kids inside – outside was a pirate themed water park which we didn’t use because it started to rain- but it looked very clean and inviting. Yes the hotel staff had accents but they were OK to deal with. If I ever go back to the Dells we will stay here again.

We have been staying at the Copa once a year for the past five years and have not had a bad stay. Yes, the rooms are dated but they are clean. We have not had any problems with the staff, they have always gone out of their way to accommodate us.
My husband and I work for a resort hotel and believe me we’ve seen it all. I think some people just enjoy complaining.
Room Tip: We always stay in the building across the skybridge from the office. It’s a wonderful parklike setting

I have been staying at this hotel for over 30 years and at a few times a year and have seen it go through many changes. I have been at other hotels over the years but I always come back to the Copa, the staff is always very accomodating. Yes, the rooms are not “fancy” but how much time do you really stay in the room when you are on vacation?? They are clean and well taken care of, if something is not right the staff will make every effort to correct it. I have never had a bad experience, I will always recommend and I will continue to go back..
